This image was taken near South Window Arch in Arches National Park. I was looking to capture the intricacy of the trees at very close range (about 10 feet) balanced against the dramatic background of the distant rocks and sky — and still keep both in focus. South Window Arch area is heavily traveled and I was delighted to create a non-traditional interpretation of this location
