Its Even Better Shared - Limited Edition of 100 prints
We had been walking the hot streets of Atzompa when we came upon a cathedral with people milling about. The wedding was over and it was time for the wedding party to enjoy some refreshments after standing in the hot sun. The flower girl contemplating her drink was a wonderful moment, but it could not match her smile as she decided to share with her friend.

Dancing in the Courtyard - Limited Edition of 100 prints
Walking back late in the afternoon from the Zcalo, I heard some drums beating and saw a small crowd watching something going on in the courtyard of the Basilica de Soledad. To my delight, I was able to watch a group of musicians and dancers gathered together to celebrate the end of the week. Anyone who wanted to join in was welcome. This typified the culture, community and spirit of Oaxaca for me.
Arrazola Street Scene - Limited Edition of 100 prints
The economy of the town of Arrazola is based on its famous woodcarvers. Family studios open their courtyards to demonstrate the delicate carving of wooden figures known as alebrijes. The artisans use copal wood gathered from areas surrounding the town. They say that the shape of the cut pieces dictates which animal will emerge from the carving process. The town also has wonderful, cobblestone streets flanked by bright facades.
Clowns in the Zocalo - Limited Edition of 100 prints
While wandering through the Zocalo, I caught this picture of clowns preparing for their next performance. A happy colorful image in the Zocalo in Oaxaca, which has now sadly changed.
