Sunrise at Swiftcurrent Lake - Limited Edition of 100 prints
Many Glacier, on the east side of Glacier, is known as a very windy spot. However, when I arrived at Many Glacier for a sunrise shoot, I found the lake completely flat. As the sun rose above the horizon, the mountain turned bright orange and was perfectly reflected in the water.

Swiftcurrent Stream Smoky Sunrise - Limited Edition of 100 prints
Look behind you is often good advice for photographers. I had been concentrating on the reflection in Many Glacier Lake, when I happened to turn around and looked below the bridge down the river canyon that was the lake outlet. As the sun rose above the smoky horizon, the water in the canyon was lit with the smoky reflection.
Wildflowers in Sunrift Gorge - Limited Edition of 100 prints
Glacier is sufficiently north that wildflowers in August still are abundant. Glacier is noted for grand vistas, but has a lot of small features that provide wonderful opportunities for photography. This stream was located alongside the road on the way to Logan pass. The combination of the flowers, the green moss and the water made this one of my favorite images from Glacier.
Lake MacDonald - Limited Edition of 100 prints
I shot this view of Lake MacDonald in Glacier National Park during a helicopter tour of the park. The GOing to the Sun road was still closed due to snow, and the flying tour gave me a really interesting view of the vastness and beauty of the park.
Hidden Lake Sunset - Limited Edition of 100 prints
Hidden Lake can be seen after a moderate hike through fields of wildflowers above the visitor center at the top of Logan Pass. During my visit to Glacier, there was a significant forest fire that burned some 25,000 acres. At times the smoke from the fire created tough challenges for photography. At other times, the smoke created opportunities. As the sun dropped below the horizon from our perch in the saddle overlooking Hidden Lake, the smoke created a sunset that almost felt like a painting.
Sunrift Gorge - Limited Edition of 100 prints
Landscape design at its best. Color, saturation, lighting, textures and flows all come together in this mini-gorge, located less than 100 yards from the road to Logan Pass. It would be a perfect place for magical creatures, like leprechauns, to live.

This image of the reflection of the colorful boats on the dock was shot at Lake MacDonald in Glacier National Park at the beginning of the season.
Bowman Lake Sunset - Limited Edition of 100 prints
Bowman Lake is located in the wilderness on the west side of Glacier. It is worth the lengthy drive over gravel and dirt roads. The rocks at the rocky shore of the lake provided a great foreground for the sunset over the lake and an ideal opportunity to try out the features of the tilt/shift lens to correct perspective.

This image is about the richness of the actual colors on the mountain at sunset contrasted with the softness of the reflection of the colors reflected in the water.
Avalanche Creek Waterfall - Limited Edition of 100 prints
From a precarious perch on the river bank, I was able to capture the majesty and power of this small creek. It is always amazing to me how adding gradient to a relatively small volume of water can create such a powerful force of nature.
