Wise Guys - Limited Edition of 100 prints
These two ancient tortoises were just keeping an eye on us as we wandered through the Darwin Station in the Galapagos. It was fascinating to learn about their history and the efforts being made to preserve the species.

I shot this tree iguana actually on the mainland of Ecuador. There were dozens in a park accross the street from our hotel. Very accomodating.

Galapagos - Sun Bathers - Limited Edition of 100 prints
I did see a few marine iguanas in the water during a snorkeling excursion. However, most seemed to spend the majority of their time basking in the sun.
Galapagos - Red Crab Reflection - Limited Edition of 100 prints
HIs reflection shimmering above on the weet rock, this red crab seems to have found a perfect resting spot.

These crabs were the most colorful creatures I saw on my Galapagos trip. The ones on the beach were pretty small to be trapped for food.
Galapagos - Mangrove Beach - Limited Edition of 100 prints
This mangrove-looking tree area sparated the beach from the open ocean. The marine iguanas were a few yardds off to the right of the roots. I love the color contrasts.
Galapagos - Land Iguana - Limited Edition of 100 prints
We visited the Darwin Research Station where I found this great specimen of the land iguanas. We found the marine iguanas were much more plentiful, but not as colorful.
Crab and Iguana on Rock - Limited Edition of 100 prints
The red crabs and the iguana provided great color and contrast against this rock on the beach on Santa Cruz Island.

I love the puzzled expression of a striaght-on view of these birds. These two got together to strike a police mug shot type pose.
