The bald eagle is a magnificent bird. While the owl seems to look through you, the eagle just defies you. This eagle was watching over the thousands of elk in the National Elk Refuge outside Jackson, Wyoming. I think they felt they were well protected. I took this shot to capture the majesty and imperious nature of the eagle.
